After a decisive win last night (that included a record-breaking home run) the Twins will go for their second straight victory against the Texas Rangers.

Michael Pineda will make his last start of the first half this afternoon. Thus far, he’s proved to be a pretty good signing from all the way back when he was actually signed. His FIP, WHIP, HR/9, and BB/9 have all improved from his last season with the Yankees in 2017. And aside from a weird outing against the Royals, he had quite a solid June.

The Twins lineup will be squaring off against Jesse Chavez, who’s done a couple of laps around both the junior and senior circuits. An eleven-year veteran, he’s been the opener twice this year for Texas, but was recently moved back into the rotation, where he’s been stretching himself out over the last four outings.

Lineups available soon.
