Twins have asked Blue Jays about a Stroman-Giles package deal
Steve Adams of MLB Trade Rumors writes that the Twins (along with the New York Yankees) have asked the Toronto Blue Jays about bundling starting pitcher Marcus Stroman and reliever Ken Giles in a trade scenario. Both pitchers have been strong in trade talks as the trade deadline has been getting closer and closer. Stroman, a first-time All-Star this year, has posted a 3.18 ERA in 18 starts for the Jays with a 7.0 K/9 and a 141 ERA+. Giles, who went to Toronto from the Houston Astros via trade last year, has a 1.45 ERA out of the pen with 13 saves in 14 opportunities along with an eye-popping 15.4 K/9 this year.
