Hi, hope you got some rest last night, after the Twins tried to make the last three innings exciting. If you only saw the final, you’d be forgiven for thinking the bullpen blew up, but it was rather the opposite. Jose Berrios had most of the runs hung on him, in his second-worst ever start. The Bomba Squad tried to mount a late comeback, and seven runs would have been enough most nights, especially with La Makina providing six innings.

Nevertheless, since the Twins and Braves split the first two games, today will determine who gets bragging rights, the series win, and one more notch in the W column. This is an important game to pick up for Minnesota, as Cleveland is playing a double-header, and bullpenning the second game, right before they come to town.

Martin Perez takes the mound for the good guys, while the Braves counter with fellow lefty Max Fried. Hopefully our Max gets the better of their Max (it’ll have to be a pinch hit appearance or something, but whatever. I wanted to make the joke.) Have your best “Fried” puns ready for the game thread.
