Game 155: Royals at Twins

The march to 100 continues.

The Minnesota Twins squeak by the Kansas City Royals winning 4-3

First Pitch: 6:10 pm CDT

TV: FSN

Radio: TIBN

The Twins have been taking advantage of their late-season matchups, posting a 12-8 record in the month of September. With two more wins against Kansas City under their belt, Minnesota will continue their march towards 100 glorious wins.

Tonight, they have a relatively easy target to tee off of. The Twins have become familiar with Royals starter Glenn Sparkman; this will be his fourth appearance against the Bomba Squad this year, with Kansas City having only won one of his prior three starts. Sparky hasn’t lowered his ERA since August 18th; it’s climbed from 5.40 to 6.02 since then.

On the flip side of that coin is Jose Berrios, who’s gearing up for the postseason with a pair of dazzling performances featuring everything but jazz hands. After seven shutout innings against the playoff-gunning Nationals, Berrios struck out eight White Sox and pitched into the eighth last time out. The Royals boast some good hitters in their lineup — but J.B. will have every opportunity to add onto his solid streak.
