You could bid on Mitch Garver’s catcher gear — for a good cause!

The Twins’ catcher is auctioning some game worn gear for charity

Remember the “Holiday” themed catcher’s gear Mitch Garver sported for Father’s Day, Mother’s Day, and the Fourth of July? You could actually own it, if you wanted to.

Garver announced via twitter that he will be auctioning off all three complete sets of gear, to raise money for the same charities that his Charity Camp this upcoming weekend also supports.

Those charities are:

Justin Solomon Medical Fund

Grace’s Hope Foundation

Faith Kuhn Medical Fund

Clayton Brack Medical Fund

Martin Romero Scholarship Foundation

Garver, along with fellow MLB players Alex Bregman, Blake Swihart and Jordan Pacheco (who was briefly in the Twins organization as well) have been participating in events to support these groups since at least 2017. According to Garver, they have brought in MLB players and gear from all over the nation to help support families battling leukemia and other diseases.

If you are interested in bidding on any of the gear, it has been posted to ebay to allow a chance for Twins fans from around the country to participate. Probably wise, considering there are about three of us in the entire state of New Mexico. Anyway, embedded below are the tweets which contain the auction links, and Garver says he will autograph the gear for the winning bidder. The auctions are running through the 11th, if you are interested.

To be honest, if I had seen info on the camp sooner, I probably would have found a way to be there, its not very far from where I live. Its a good cause, if you happen to be into collecting game-worn, unique Twins gear, so its an opportunity I thought we ought to pass on to you.
