Stuff you may have missed:
- We started grading the 2020 Twins with Kenta Maeda (click here,) Mitch Garver (click here,) and Nelson Cruz (click here.)
- John took a look at the strategy the Astros used to keep the Twins’ bats silent.
- Ben looked ahead at three players that might be on the move this winter.
Twins stuff from elsewhere:
- The Twins have a new security director: Minneapolis police officer and former North High resource officer Charles Adams III calls it “a once-in-a-lifetime” opportunity. His family has a long legacy with both the police department and Minnesota pro sports, apparently.
- Although Elizabethton is no longer a Twins’ affiliate, the Twins are being good guys, and honoring their commitment to funding stadium improvements for the Appalachian League team.
- There is one player from the 2004 Twins, the last team to win in the postseason, who is still actively playing professional baseball. Leeeeewwwwwwwwwww!
Other baseball stuff to read:
- Dingers are still the secret to winning in the playoffs. Too bad the Twins didn’t hit any.
- A thought experiment: what if Baseball was more like Mario Kart. It’s going to give Manfred ideas, isn’t it?
- Footage of the 1962 All Star Game, played at Wrigley Field, was recently discovered. Twins that participated were Earl Battey, Rich Rollins, and Camilo Pascual

Who is the most random baseball player you remember? Why are they memorable for you?
