• Nelson Cruz got another “Good Guy” award — this one is the Marvin Miller Man of the Year.
• Oh, and pending-free agent Cruz is apparently looking for a two-year contract. That seems reasonable, so make it happen, Twins.
• Kenta Maeda and Byron Buxton are Gold Glove finalists. Along with a couple old friends. Gardy must really have some infielder-whispering magic.
• If you, like me, get your TV through Hulu’s live streaming option, you just lost access to the Sinclair-owned RSNs, which notably includes FSN. Sinclair is probably just the worst.

Around baseball:

• Some Ray’s player you’ve never heard of (that’s all of them, according to the national media) is really good... like... better than Jeets

• The #umpshow might have cost Blake Snell and the Rays a no-hitter
• Mookie Betts can get you some free tacos. Oh, and he did it again last night.
• The National League might be going back to making pitchers hit next season. In case you wanted something only slightly more interesting than watching paint dry. The Universal DH is the only change from 2020 I liked, so of course its the one going away.
