To protect the health of the players, fans, and everyone else around the team, the Minnesota Twins have cancelled the 2021 Winter Caravan and TwinsFest. Both were originally scheduled for January and this does not come as a big surprise with everything going on at the moment.
While Twinsfest typically took place at Target Field, and could have possibly been modified to include social distancing, the caravan involved visits to several states and communities, and in both cases its better to be safe than sorry.
The Twins Winter Caravan has been a yearly tradition for the last 60 years. TwinsFest is the largest annual fundraiser for the Minnesota Twins Community Fund that started in 1989.
Hopefully the Twins will be able to get back into both of these events in a year but it makes sense to cancel them for 2021. While we are sad to see them go, its probably best for everyone.
