Various sources on Twitter announced this afternoon that longtime Minnesota broadcaster Tom Hanneman has passed away.
Can 2020 quit already?! Just got word that the wonderful @fsnorth and former @WCCO alum Tom Hanneman has died. What a class act. pic.twitter.com/SNNUiCHWhP

Tom spent nearly five decades covering Minnesota sports, first with WCCO and then with Fox Sports North. While with FSN, Hanneman anchored the pregame and postgame shows for the Twins, Timberwolves, and Wild. He has been a consistent presence on Twins Live since 2012, and Twins broadcasts will surely not be the same without his voice behind them. Tom was 68. May he rest in peace.
Twins President Dave St. Peter took to Twitter himself to express his thoughts, as did Dustin Morse, who handles communications for the team.
I’m stunned. @FSNtomhanneman was a Minnesota broadcast legend. His voice & style connected with sports fans across the region. Tom was a true pro’s pro. All class. So dear to so many. God Bless Tom, his family, friends and associates. https://t.co/zdHrkVgLNA

You want to know what type of man he was - he emailed me this on a night where he was awarded the Silver Circle Emmy for his contributions to television. It was his night and he was thinking of others. pic.twitter.com/f7NR52NcHt
From all of us here at Twinkie Town, our condolences are with his family at this time.
If you have any Tom Hanneman memories, please feel free to share them in the comments.
