Update 2/4/2020: I’ve received a huge number of great applicants, so I’m going to close the application pool as of noon central. I’ll be getting back to everyone who applied soon. As always though, if you think you have something to contribute to the site, feel free to write a FanPost, or reach out to me about commitment free contributor opportunities.

Hey everyone! TJ here with some exciting housekeeping news! Twinkie Town has an opening for a front page writer. If you’ve ever wanted to write about the Twins, feel free to apply—no experience necessary.

What we are looking for:

  • Someone who loves baseball. More specifically the Minnesota Twins.
  • Someone who can commit to writing about once a week.
  • Someone who can look at statistics and especially advanced statistics, and tell us a story. Explain the how-and-why, and we’ll be big fans of your writing.
  • Someone with a unique voice or perspective they can contribute.
  • Unfortunately, due to recent California legislation, any applicants must not live in the state of California. Literally anyone else is encouraged to apply.
  • We like to have fun here, so a sense of humor in your writing is encouraged, but not required.

If that sounds like you, I’d love to have you send some information my way. Specifically, send a resume, and a writing sample (if you don’t have one, write a FanPost and use that) to tjgorsegnersbn@gmail.com

This is a freelance contractor role, with a small stipend. It’s not going to pay the bills, but it might buy you pizza on a friday night.

We provide the platform, and lots of eyeballs on your writing. We also provide editorial support, feedback, and lots of resources to help you out.

If you’re interested in writing occasionally, but without the commitment, feel free to reach out—we have a role that might work for you as well.
