Are you, like me, looking for something, anything to distract you from the utter despair of our current societal situation?
I found live baseball, going on somewhere in the world, that you can watch. No word yet on what language(s) the broadcast will be in, but the Lotte Giants of the KBO have announced that they will be broadcasting scrimmages live, starting tonight at 9:40 central. The games will be on their youtube channel, so no subscriptions needed.
The games will be broadcast tonight, the 23rd, as well as the 25th, 27th, and 29th.
Get your calendars out - we, the Lotte Giants, will be broadcasting our team scrimmages on our YouTube channel (Giants TV) on 10:40 pm EST on the 23rd, 25th, and 27th, and a match between our first tram and second team on 10:00 pm EST on the 29th. pic.twitter.com/t311G6mP2B

The best known player stateside on the Giants is pitcher Dan Straily, who has been a bit of a journeyman since 2012, pitching for Oakland, Chicago (Cubs,) Houston, Cincinnati, and the very-bad 2019 Baltimore Orioles. Other American players include former Tiger infielder Dixon Machado and pitcher Adrian Sampson, who has appeared for the Mariners and Rangers.
Hopefully other KBO teams are able to follow suit, and we have something to watch.
