Know Thine Enemy: Bless You Boys
Rocco Baldelli and the Minnesota Twins will take on Ron Gardenhire and the Detroit Tigers for the first time this spring before they meet again in the Dominican Republic this Saturday. Both teams come into the game today with 4-4 records in Grapefruit League action. How many ties, you ask? I have about 20 neckties in my closet at home. Anyway, whoever comes out the winner of this contest will probably take the A.L. Central this regular season. (haha jk)
Randy Dobnak gets the nod for the Twins today. He’s fighting for the last spot in the rotation. Dobstache has made one appearance in Grapefruit League play (the Gophers game doesn’t count, rip that out of your scorebook). He went three innings of work with a couple strikeouts, a walk, and a homer.
The Tigers will send out Panama-born Dario Agrazal, who saw time in the big-leagues with the Pittsburgh Pirates. “One burning ship to another,” as they say. He’s made two appearances in Florida this spring, also pitching three innings, but with only one strikeout and a couple of hits.
The Twins sending out their major-league cannons today, holy crap.
