Finally, MLB teams are about to do something. It’s time to wake up from our baseball-slumber! Here is everything you need to know about tonight’s draft.
When: Today (June tenth) at 6pm central
Where: MLBTV or ESPN will both have coverage on TV. MLB.com will also have streaming
What: Day one of the MLB draft. This will cover round one and competitive balance round A, or picks 1-37
The Twins pick at #27 (and only #27) tonight. Kyle had a couple great primers on who they might take.
Of course, this draft will look very different than normal. There will only be five rounds, instead of the usual 40. Our friends at Purple Row put together a succinct summary of the draft rules and the changes for this season, so why duplicate their excellent work.
Feel free to join us below to comment on the draft as it unfolds, and your reaction to the Twins pick. We’ll have continued coverage throughout the draft tonight and tomorrow.
