Twins release 30 man roster

Any surprises?

The Twins play real baseball tomorrow! Of course, in order to play baseball you need a roster and that’s exactly what we got today. The team ended up going with 15 hitters and 15 pitchers. Let’s take a look and who made it.

Roster notes:

  • The Twins go with Aaron Whitefield over Travis Blankenhorn. Whitefield will fill in almost 100% as a pinch runner or fielder.
  • Jake Odorizzi will start on the IL, likely only for one turn around the rotation. Lewis Thorpe, who was on the bubble, takes his spot for now.
  • Willians Astudillo has not yet recorded two negative COVID-19 tests so he is not on the active roster.
