And why is it the baby blues?

Happy Friday! Welcome back to your weekly discussion. This week, let’s talk fashion. Which of the current uniforms is your personal favorite?

The Twins have really overhauled their style over the past five years. Apart from the road grays and road alternate navy blues (introduced in 2010), the Twins have introduced 4 new kits since 2015. The oldest of the “new bunch” are the home whites (the first use of Kasota gold), followed by the alternate reds (2016), the throwback navy blues (2019), and the new baby blues. You can click through the gallery to view all the uniforms.

First of all, I do consider the Twins to have a very strong array of uniforms. The home jerseys are a very clean look, the baby blues and the home navy blues both pull off the throwback look to near-perfection, the road uniforms have had great staying power with their timeless look, and the red jerseys have some modern appeal. But which is the best?

The baby blues are the best, in my opinion. There’s no topping that beautiful soft blue and red script. They are perfection. Furthermore, the Twins have only lost one game while wearing them this season. However, in my eyes, the throwback navy blues come pretty close. The much-maligned Kasota gold actually plays off the deep navy base quite well to create a classic look. I also hold a higher opinion of the alternate reds than most. They are the definition of an alternate jersey, and the minimalist “TC” on the front is a strong concept.

Now it’s your turn! You know the drill- drop your opinions in the comments and debate!
