Know Thine Enemy: Let’s Go Clutter

The Minnesota Twins are at the halfway point of the season now and they face a team in the Cleveland Ball Club that sits 1.5 games behind them. The Twins are facing AL Central foes something like 15 times in the next 17 games or something freaky like that. Yay 2020!!

Kenta Maeda gets the nod from Rocco Baldelli. Do you remember what he did last time he was pitching? The almost-no-hitter? The one that Taylor Rogers messed up so the closer sent Maeda some fancy rice? And the game went 12 innings? And all that jazz? Good times.

Sandy Alomar Jr gives the ball to Aaron Civale. (Terry Francona is not managing this series for the Spiders.) Civale’s name makes me think of ceviche, which is a fancy fish and vegetable food from South America.
