Game 33: Twins at Tigers

New, 22 comments

The scheduled first of two.

Minnesota Twins v Cleveland Indians
I think this means “left turn” when riding a bike? Or is it right turn. I dunno, I just generally make it a principle to not run over anybody when driving.

Sorry for being a bit late putting this up, folks. One reason I like having Fridays is that Fridays are never day games. (The other being that nobody much cares if a Friday night recap comes up slow.)

The Twins are using Mr. Randy Travis William Dobnak, whom you’re familiar with, while the Tigers are starting young Tarik Skubal, who has shown flashes of promise and gotten knocked around by MLB hitters a little. He’s young, he’ll improve. Just don’t take a bat to Gardy’s door, he doesn’t like that!

Today's Lineups

TWINS TIGERS
Jorge Polanco - SS Victor Reyes - RF
Miguel Sano - 1B Jonathan Schoop - 2B
Nelson Cruz - DH Miguel Cabrera - DH
Marwin Gonzalez - RF Jeimer Candelario - 1B
Ildemaro Vargas - 2B Niko Goodrum - SS
Eddie Rosario - LF JaCoby Jones - CF
Ehire Adrianza - 3B Christin Stewart - LF
Max Kepler - CF Grayson Greiner - C
Alex Avila - C Willi Castro - 3B
Randy Dobnak - RHP Matthew Boyd - LHP

Well, per that lineup list, it’s Matthew Boyd for Detroit. MLB.com has Tarik Skubal listed as the starting pitcher for both games, which is exceedingly unlikely to be true.
