White Sox 8, Twins 5: Things are awful

Should’ve made a trade

MLB: Chicago White Sox at Minnesota Twins Jordan Johnson-USA TODAY Sports

Things are falling apart! The Twins came home to play Chicago and the players were using it as a fresh slate to go win some games. It didn’t start well at all.

The game actually had a really nice start for the Twins who jumped out to an early 3-0 lead. The runs came from a Miguel Sano home run and Luis Arraez line drive single. Things were looking great! Giolito was struggling and Rich Hill was doing alright.

Then came the fourth inning. With the bases loaded and no outs the Twins nearly (and should have) got a triple play. Instead they somehow only got one out and the next batter hit an RBI single. Rich Hill was immediately pulled and Duffey escaped the inning. A couple innings later the Sox tied it up on a single from Jose Abreu.

The Twins would temporarily gain a 5-4 lead thanks to a Jake Cave RBI single but it was immediately erased by a Luis Robert bomb. The White Sox would then go on to score three against Taylor Rogers, aided by an awful dropped fly ball from Max Kepler. The fly ball summed up the recent stretch.

The Twins played an awful game and will be without all their top bullpen arms tomorrow. Are things falling apart? Yes.
