Here at Twinkie Town
- Uhm, lets talk about DHs.
- Thats all for now byebye see you in the next section
Other Twins stuff
- Oh hey this is that other section
- From MLBTR, should the Twins extend Alex Kirilloff before his second ever MLB appearance? Also brought up at the Athletic and Twins Daily and basically everywhere but here.
- Why the heck would Nelly go there? There’s no DH in the NL this year, and uhhh... he doesn’t play the field so well anymore.
Per Doogs, the Twins, as of now, have not even come close to being as aggressive as other teams for Nelson Cruz.

Says the Padres have interest in Nelly.
- An old friend goes to Detroit, home of mediocre old friends.
The Tigers are nearing a deal with OF Robbie Grossman, sources tell me and @Ken_Rosenthal. Terms are 2 years, $10 million plus performance bonuses.

- Oh, and Jake Odorizzi, who some might also call a mediocre old friend, has some interest on the east coast.
The Red Sox have serious interest in RHP Jake Odorizzi, per source. Boston chief baseball officer Chaim Bloom was part of the Rays front office when Tampa Bay acquired Odorizzi in December 2012, so there's plenty of familiarity between the two.

- Pirates fans are suggesting a Joe Musgrove-to-the-Twins trade. I don’t hate a couple of their ideas for a return. I also want this to happen so I can parody this song.
Lets talk about other baseball teams
- The MiLB season will probably be delayed, at least at the lower levels (paywall.)
- The Dodgers signed a reliever
Reliever Blake Treinen and the Los Angeles Dodgers are in agreement on a two-year deal for $17.5 million with a club option that’s worth $8 million, sources tell ESPN.
— Jeff Passan (@JeffPassan) January 6, 2021
- and the Giants signed a catcher
#SFGiants have signed catcher Curt Casali to a one-year Major League contract for the 2021 season.
— SFGiants (@SFGiants) January 4, 2021
- Liam Hendriks’ market is heating up
Over the weekend, someone told me to watch the Astros on Hendriks. “They’re all over him.” https://t.co/abZNgCcu3U
