ATL leads 1-0
LAD - Max Scherzer (POST - 0-1, 1 SV, 12.1 IP, 6 H, 2 ER, 4 BB, 16 K, HR, 1.46 ERA)
After tossing seven innings in NLDS Game 3, then earning the save with a relatively clean ninth in NLDS Game 5, Max Scherzer is back out there to take some names in Game 2 of the NLCS. One of the league’s premier pitchers, and a Hall of Famer in waiting, Mad Max is always a treat for me to watch, and there’s no better stage to check him out on.
ATL - Ian Anderson (POST - 5 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 6 K)
He’ll be facing Ian Anderson, who has really been thrown into the fire in his young career. Anderson has 30 major-league starts over the last two seasons, and tonight will mark his sixth postseason appearance.
The Braves walked it off last night thanks to the heroics of Austin Riley, who has broken out this year as perhaps the next great Brave in a core that already includes Freddie Freeman, Ronald Acuna, Jr., Ozzie Albies, and others.
This one starts at the lovely, convenient time of 6:38 central. Enjoy the game!
