Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across MLB. Each week, we send out questions to the most plugged-in Minnesota Twins fans, and fans across the country. Sign up here to join Reacts.

In 2019, the Twins offense set a record for home runs. 307, even in the high-scoring environment, was impressive. Although 2020 saw a bit of a dip, most of the same faces are still on the roster. Overall, you all seem to believe that the Twins will be among the top offensive—and overall—teams in the league again this year.

According to the latest SB Nation Reacts survey, 94 percent of Twins fans are confident the team is headed in the right direction. That has held steady at the same mark since the season opener.

A part of that confidence comes from feelings about the team’s ability to score. Twins fans are completely high on the Minnesota offense.

The Twins start may have come as something of a surprise to some fans around the league. But it wasn’t the biggest surprise. According to fans around Major League Baseball, 28-year-old Chicago White Sox rookie Yermin Mercedes red-hot start at the plate is the most shocking outcome of the season’s first week.

Mercedes earned 42 percent of the vote, beating out the slow start by Atlanta which took 23 percent, the Baltimore Oriole’s hot start took 18 percent while Los Angeles Angels star Shohei Ohtani’s two-way success took 9 percent.
