We’re not here to have a Black Lives versus Blue Lives debate. Go somewhere else to have that argument, doing it here will get you banned.
In light of the officer-involved shooting of Daunte Wright in Brooklyn Center, MN; about ten miles from Target Field, the Twins and Red Sox have cancelled today’s game.
The statement from the Twins is below:

This is a very understandable decision for the team to make, given both the protests occurring in Minneapolis last night, and the official responses, as well as the shooting that sparked the protests.
There has been no announcement yet of how this game will be made up, or if the rest of this series will be effected. The entire series is scheduled as day-games, so a double header later in the week isn’t out of the question, but it seems more likely to be moved to a mutual off-day later in the season.
We will bring you more information as it becomes available.
