Welp, the Twins have one exactly one time since the last time I created a game thread, but somehow it feels like Max Kepler’s walk-off was much longer ago than last Thursday.

After being shutout for 14 innings across a doubleheader on Tuesday, the Twins will take their hacks against Frankie Montas on Wednesday afternoon before skipping town for an off-day in the Twin Cities on Thursday.

Montas had a brutal first start of the season against the Los Angeles Dodgers, giving up seven earned runs in 2 23 innings, but since then has given up just one run in 12 innings split between starts versus Houston and Detroit. And hey — great news! The Twins get to face a righthander!

The Twins will send ace Kenta Maeda to the bump following six days of rest. Maeda hasn’t been ultra-sharp to start the season but still has a 3.07 ERA over three starts.

Enjoy the game!
