Bad news: The Minnesota Twins didn’t win today.
Good news: They didn’t lose, either.
Today’s rubber match against the Detroit Tigers at Comerica Park has been postponed. Mother Nature took full advantage of her designated day in the United States to dump rain on metro Detroit, thus preventing the teams to play a game of baseball. Maybe it’s a sign for you to call your mother and wish her a Happy Mother’s Day.
The game will be made up as a split double-header on Friday, July 16, to start off a now four-game series. Game one will start at 1:10p Central followed by game two at 6:10p Central. July 16 is the first day back from the All-Star Break, so the more baseball, the merrier.
The Twins will move along to Chicago to take on the White Sox. Dustin Morse notes that the probables will be Kenta Maeda, J. A. Happ, and Michael Pineda.
Happy Mother’s Day!
