Game 94: Twins at White Sox

Let’s play two

MLB: Minnesota Twins at Chicago White Sox Kamil Krzaczynski-USA TODAY Sports

First Pitch: 7:30ish pm, CDT

TV: Bally Sports North

Radio: WCCO 830, Audacy, The Wolf 102.9 FM, TIBN

Know Thine Enemy: SSS

The only thing better than beating the White Sox one time in a day? Beating them two times!

Side note: If a pitcher throws a complete game no-hitter in a 7-inning game that goes to 9 innings, does Rob Manfred finally lose his job?

Anywaaaays, the Twins did the impossible and won a doubleheader game that went to extra innings. Surely, this is the moment that turns the season around (haven’t heard that one before). In any case, the Twins have Jose Berrios, who (Hot Take!) the Twins should pay, taking the bump in Game 2, against the recently-called-up-even-though-he-sucked-at-Triple-A Reynaldo Lopez. In any case, I’d expect the Sox to not be shy about using some of their big bullpen guns like Liam Hendriks and Michael Kopech, so the Twins will want to get their runs early and often.

Oh, and also- Mitch Garver has returned, and Ben Rortvedt has been optioned. Hopefully GarvSauce can pick up where he left off, as he was just getting back to his 2019 ways before the injury.
