Know Thine Enemy: Southside Sox

After a pair of utterly demoralizing losses, your Minnesota Twins have a shot at earning a split against the Chicago White Sox on Wednesday night. (It’s the little things, amirite?)

The Twins will send Michael Pineda to the mound. Big Mike was hit hard by these same Sox last time out (although it was all the way back on July 7), giving up five earned runs on 12 hits in 5 13 innings.

The White Sox will counter with Dylan Cease, who gave up six earned runs to the Twins back on July 6 but has been better each of his last two times out.

Also, Minnesota put rookie Alex Kirilloff on the injured list on Wednesday with a torn ligament in his wrist (not great), which means that La Tortuga is back out of his shell. Or something like that.

Enjoy the game!
