It’s 2021 in Twins Territory so, naturally, more bad news came down from the Minnesota Twins twittersphereland about a Minnesota player:
Alex Kirilloff is scheduled to have surgery later this week performed by Dr. Thomas Graham to repair a ligament tear in his right wrist.

The Twins have recalled Willians Astudillo from Triple-A. https://t.co/0tr0cgf5Z2
Outfielder Alex Kirilloff has decided to have wrist surgery on his sprained right wrist and has landed on the 10-day Injured List. He initially decided to play through it, but for whatever reason (maybe being on a losing team during a losing season) has just now decided, “Hey, let’s cut this open and get it over with.” He’ll be in Ohio, which is reportedly for lovers, to get the procedure done this Friday with a timeline for return of T.B.D. (Too Bad, Damn).
The lefty rookie has done fairly well this year, all things considering. He has posted a .251/.299/.423 (.722) slash line with eight homers and 34 RBI. Additionally, it was a breath of fresh air to hear his name in the lineup, especially in the outfield, since 328% of Twins outfielders currently reside on the I.L.
To take his place, Minnesota has recalled one (1) bullpen arm utilityman Willians Astudillo from the depths of St Paul. He’s just been having a good time over at CHS, batting .281/.319/.382 (.701) with two homers and eight RBI over 22 games since being sent down in mid-June. No, he has not pitched in a game, but we do have this snippet:

Now imagine a Twins outfield with Luis Arraez, Nick Gordon, and La Tortuga. LOL
Hope your wrist heals quickly, Alex!
