It’s time for a Rook Fight! Not the chess kind, but the baseball variety, with two starting pitchers who’ve got less than 14 games of MLB experience. Our own Griffin Jax you know, with his unusual service academy path to the bigs (and his tendency this year to be ah-right or quite whomped). His mound opponent, Daniel “Not Jane or David” Lynch, is a few years younger, throws with the opposite arm, and has been a teeny bit more consistent. Both throw primarily a fastball, slider, and change, Lynch a smidge harder; his best pitch is that slider, while Jax doesn’t really have a “best pitch” yet. Meaningless SSS 2021 digits:

This week’s installment of Stuff Twinkie Towners own comes from community member trigonzobob (whose real name is Robert, Earl of Refsnyder):

So this purchase/story happened about 5 years ago. I was at Mills Fleet Farm shopping for something (probably hardware of some sort) and thought I’d head over to the sports memorabilia section ‘cuz I probably needed a new Twins cap. I usually need a new Twins cap every two years or so because I inadvertently leave it within reach of my dog, Victor, and he loves tearing them to shreds. I’ve had him for about 10 years now and he’s destroyed about 5 Twins caps (including the co-branded Gophers/Twins cap I got one year), 15 pairs of shoes/slippers, and 5 remote controls (plus lots of other stuff I can’t remember - he once chewed up his leash and ate parts of it and then barfed it all up about a week later).

For the clueless, Victor is a Boy Dog.

Anyway, I hit the Twins memorabilia section and I saw these Twins branded soup bowls and thought to myself, “Wow, those look cool.” I looked at the price and they were on clearance for about $3 each. So I took the last two. They are made in China and licensed by Boelter Brands, LLC in Glendale, WI. The website is Logo Brands but Google claims that site isn’t safe and doesn’t let me go there. I don’t use them a whole lot. Mostly for chili, and so I call them “Chili Davis Bowls” (I guess that’s my memorabilia tie-in). And if you don’t call them that, AYEATF?!?

Credit to trigozobob for the pics! No credit if they make you hungry for chili, you make it too hot, and you get a tummy/intestinal Gruesome.

Thanks, trigonzobob! It's strange, but I've never been in a Fleet Farm. No reason against them, I guess I just assumed they were express shops for buying farm supplies, and I don’t need haybale wire.

The rest of you who didn't submit anything, c'mon now! Why not? Well, doesn't matter, you're too late now, anyways! (Almost. Kinda. You sorta still could.) Your shame will be your lack of internet fame.
