Triple-A: Rochester Red Wings 5, Indianapolis Indians 3

A 4-run 8th inning propelled the Red Wings to victory. Righty Drew Hutchison was the starter for the Red Wings; 5 IP, 5 H, 1 ER, 1 R, 4 BB, 5 K.

In the 8th, C Mitch Garver and RF Niko Goodrum hit 1-out doubles. After a walk, DH John Ryan Murphy hit a 2-run single. SS Bengie Gonzalez doubled in the 4th run of the inning, giving us our final score.

Double-A:

OFF DAY

[No Box Score, no game]

High-A:

OFF DAY, TOO.

[You know the drill...]

Low-A: Kane County Cougars 3, Cedar Rapids Kernels 2

A low-scoring pitcher’s duel today, as the first run didn’t come until the 6th. Unfortunately that run went to the Cougars.

In the 8th, DH Travis Blankenhorn was hit by a pitch, and then 3B Caleb Hamilton doubled. C Ben Rortvedt hit a 2-run single, giving the Kernels the lead. A lead that RHP Patrick McGuff would surrender in the bottom of the 8th. The Kernels couldn’t score in the 9th, so there’s your final score.
