Triple-A: Durham Bulls 4, Rochester Red Wings 0

The Wings got 2 hits today; one by CF Zach Granite, the other by LF J.B. Shuck. They also committed 3 errors. To be fair, this was just a 7-inning game.

D.J. Baxendale took the loss: 2.2 IP, 7H, 3 R, 2 ER, 2 BB, 1 K.

Double-A: Chattanooga Lookouts 11, Birmingham Barons 0

Lots of hits and runs in this one for the Lookouts. The best day was probably had by RF Ryan Strausborger: 3-4, 3 R, 2B, RBI. Though, lots of people had a good day, including SS prospect Nick Gordon: 2-5, BB, 2B, 2 RBI, he’s hitting .306 on the season.

Fernando Romero was fantastic: 6 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 7 K. That is back to back starts with 6 shutout innings for Romero.

High-A: Bradenton Marauders 8, Fort Myers Miracle 4

A 3 run homer by LF Logan Hill got the Marauders a quick lead in the first. The Miracle answered with 4 in the second, but the pitching couldn’t hold that 1-run lead.

Miracle starter lefty Lachlan Wells struggled today: 4 IP, 5 H, 4 ER, BB, K, 2 HR.

Low-A: Quad Cities River Bandits 8, Cedar Rapids Kernels 2

Kernels starter RHP Eduardo Del Rosario had a bad day: 4.2 IP, 10 H, 6 R, 6 ER, 4 BB, 6 K.

The Kernels scored a couple runs in the 7th, on a 2-run homer by SS Jermaine Palacios. Not much else to say about this one.
