Minnesota Twins minor-league infielder Jose Rosario was suspended 50 games for violating the MLB's Drug Prevention and Treatment Program guidelines. Rosario tested positive for a "drug of abuse" according to the announcement. The infielder batted .248/.422/.283 with 12 RBI in 113 at-bats for the Dominican Summer League (DSL) Twins last year.

Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com broke news yesterday that the Minnesota Twins did not renew the contracts of coaches from its AAA affiliate, the Rochester Red Wings. This includes skipper Joel Skinner, pitching coach Stu Cliburn, and hitting coach Javier Valentin. Skinner was the the manager of the Red Wings since 2018 while Valentin was hired as the hitting coach for the 2019 campaign. Cliburn had been in the Twins affiliate organisation since 1993, coaching at various levels. The Red Wings closed out the 2019 season with a record of 70-70 and 5.5 games back from the division lead, good for fourth in the International League North.
