Double-A: Chattanooga Lookouts 6, Montgomery Biscuits 0

Talk about burning the Biscuits!!!

Sorry, sorry. Couldn’t help myself.

Funny thing here is the Lookouts were only leading this game 2-0 until the 9th inning, when the exploded for four runs—with two outs, nonetheless. A throwing error by Biscuits 3B Grant Kay and a wild pitch by RP Ian Gibaut sure helped with the big ol’ comeback, though.

I mean, SP Felix Jorge was fantastic for the Lookouts, pitching seven shutout innings on three hits and two walks. He struck out five too. RP Mason Melotakis pitched the final two innings of the game—also scoreless. He has a 2.42 ERA over innings in C

As far as offense goes, 1B Jonathan Rodriguez was again the man, going 2-for-4 with two RBI, a walk, and a run scored. He’s now hitting .270 in Double-A this year.

High-A: Charlotte Stone Crabs at Ft. Myers Miracle (POSTPONED)

Too much rain, so the Miracle get another day off. Seriously--what is going

Low-A: Burlington Bees 1, Cedar Rapids Kernels 0

Speaking of the MLB Draft, the Twins 2016 first-round pick, Tyler Wells, started yesterday for the Kernels, and did okay. He struck out five batters!

Wells didn’t get the win, though, because he gave uo one measly run, and the Twins couldn’t get any. In fact, the only got one hit—a single by 3B Travis Blankenhorn. That’s it.

Do better, Kernels.
