Triple-A: Buffalo Bisons 3, Rochester Red Wings 0

SS Engelb Vielma headlined the Rochester batters with a single and a double, C Mitch Garver, CF Zach(k) Granite, 1B ByungHo Park, and LF J.B. Shuck also contributed singles, but the Red Wings could not string together enough hits to score a run.

SP Dillon Gee started the game, and pitched three scoreless innings, with one hit, one walk, and one strikeout. RP Matt Tracy took the loss, giving up all three runs in the game. RP Alex Wimmers, who recently cleared waivers and accepted the assignment to Triple-A, pitched two scoreless innings to end the game.

Double-A: Chattanooga Lookouts 5, Mississippi Braves 1

The Lookouts coasted to victory in this one on the strength of a strong all-around performance. 1B Jonathan Rodriguez hit two homeruns, for a total of 4 RBI’s. CF Levi Michael also contributed an RBI, and a two-hit game.

SP Stephan Gonsalves also continues to impress at Double-A. He pitched seven innings, giving up only one run, on a solo home run, and striking out five. RP Nick Anderson and RP Randy Rosario each pitched a scoreless inning in relief.

High-A: Ft. Myers Miracle

No game, postponed due to weather

Low-A: Burlington Bees 5, Cedar Rapids Kernels 2

Not a lot of offense for the Kernels tonight, but C Ben Rortvedt doubled in a run, and LF Hank Morrison hit a triple. THE MOST EXCITING PLAY IN BASEBALL!!! (sorry, channeling my inner Dick Bremer for a second there.)

All five runs were awarded to SP Eduardo Del Rosario, who I really hope ends up on the same team as Eddie Rosario at some point, just to confuse people. I want to watch the world burn, ok?

Rookie League: Elizabethton Twins 4, Kingsport Mets 0

The little Twins won! Just like the big Twins, there was one home run in the game, in this case by 1B J.J. Robinson. In addition to his home run, he had 3 RBI and another hit.

The E-town starter, SP Edwar Colina pitched five hitless innings, and seemed to struggle with his control, giving up 4 walks. Effectively wild maybe? I’d make a joke about the fact his name is missing a “d,” but you all have dirty minds.
