A recap of the Twins' minor league affiliates' results from June 7th, 2017.

Triple-A: Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders 5, Rochester Red Wings 1

SP David Hurlbut struck out eleven RailRiders, but it wasn’t enough for the win. Over his 6.2 innings pitched, Hurlbut gave up three earned runs on eight hits and one walk. The other two RailRider runs were given up by the bullpen—RP Kevin Chapman and something called RP Kam Mickolio. RP Trevor Hildenberger also pitched 0.2 innings, but he didn’t give up any runs.

The Red Wings bats didn’t help get them the win either, mustering only four hits in the game. Two of the four hits were by CF Zack Granite, one of which was a triple—the only extra-base hit for Rochester. Granite also scored the only run for the Red Wings on a fielding error by RailRider SS Gleyber Torres.

1B ByungHo Park continued to struggle, going 0-for-4 with four strikeouts. Ouch. He’s hitting just .188 on the year now.

Double-A: Chattanooga Lookouts 7, Jackson Generals 2

3B T.J. White homered and 1B Dan Gamache hit a three-run triple as the Lookouts thrashed the Generals yesterday 7-2.

It also obviously helps that SP Felix Jorge had a good day, giving up only two earned runs on seven hits and a walk over 6.2 innings of work. He struck out nine batters too.

RP Raul Fernandez pitched 2.1 scoreless innings to finish out the win.

High-A: Tampa Yankees at Ft. Myers Miracle [Postponed]

What is going on in Florida? The Miracle were rained out once again. Doubleheader scheduled for today.

[No Box Score]

Low-A: Clinton LumberKings 9, Cedar Rapids Kernels 6

C Mitchell Kranson and DH Caleb Hamilton hit back-to-back doubles in the first inning to give the Kernels an early 3-0 lead, but the LumberKings came back to stomp them 9-6.

SP Sean Poppen did not have a poppin’ outing for the Kernels, giving up five earned runs and getting pulled after just 4.2 innings. He was relieved by RP Alex Robinson, who did pretty badly, hitting the first batter in the 6th inning and walking two guys before getting pulled. He was charged with three earned runs and only got one out.

I’m struggling to find some positives here. 3B Travis Blankenhorn walked twice? That’s all I got.
