A recap of the Twins' minor league affiliates' results from August 28th, 2017.

Triple-A: Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders 5, Rochester Red Wings 3

I am SICK of the RAILRIDERS beating OUR TEAM.

3B Leonardo Reginatto was the ONLY Red Wing who even got more than one hit in this game. And I mean, let’s face it, he also has the best name on the team

Part of the Red Wings failure here was due to SP Felix Jorge, making his second Triple-A start ever. It didn’t go well. H only lasted 40 innings and gave up five earned runs.

Double-A: Jackson Generals 5, Chattanooga Lookouts 4

Lookouts DH Andy Wilkins hit a three run dinger in the 4th inning! Woo! Unfortunately the Lookouts offense did little else.

Plus, then RP Alex Muren pitched an inning and just HAD to give up three runs. SP D.J. Baxendale only gave up a run over his 5.0 innings of work and RP Todd Van Steensel gave up a run in his 0.2 innings... but three in one inning? That’s on you Muren.

High-A: St. Lucie Mets 3, Ft. Myers Miracle 2

Man, SCREW Mets DH Tim Tebow. The once-football-guy went 2-for-4 with a double for the Mets, and I don’t like him.

The better guy is Miracle DH Brent Rooker, who hit his eleventh home run yesterday in the 1st dang inning. It ended up being his only hit of the game, but it drove in both Miracle runs.

Meanwhile, all three Mets runs were given up by RP Lachlan Wells. Though Wells pitched 4.0 innings, he gave up three runs on fours hits and two walks.

Low-A: Cedar Rapids Kernels 4, Quad Cities River Bandits 3

The Kernels won this one in the 10th inning! It wasn’t a walk-off, though, as they were the away team. Instead, they won it by scoring twice in the top of the 10th inning. The Bandits tried to make a comeback, scoring one UNEARNED run back off RP Hector Lujan in the bottom of the inning, but it stopped there.

Kernels LF Shane Kennedy was part of that 10th inning, hitting a solo home run. Earlier in the inning CF Aaron Whitefield scored on a wild pitch.

Oh! And top prospect SS Royce Lewis went 1-for-4, but his one hit was a double, which is nice.

Rookie League: Greeneville Astros 3, Elizabethton Twins 2

FAKE NEWS.

Greenville put up three runs against baby Twins SP Edwar Colina and that was apparently all they needed here. Sick game.
